Stocks cut gains Wednesday afternoon, but still held mostly higher, as turmoil in Washington escalated.


Dow Jones finished +438 at 30,829

S&P 500 finished +21 at 3,748

NASDAQ finished -78 at 12,740


The 10 Year Treasury closed up 8 basis points yielding 1.03%

Oil prices closed up $0.44 ending at $50.37 a barrel

Gold prices closed down $34.70 ending at $1,919 an ounce

  • DraftKings — Shares popped almost 3% after the New York Daily News reported Gov. Andrew Cuomo is expected to make mobile sports betting a key part of his policy proposals in his State of the State address.
  • SunPower – The solar company surged more than 20% as investors eyed the Georgia Senate runoffs. A Democratic sweep is viewed as leading to more favorable policies for the industry. Elsewhere in the sector Sunrun and Enphase Energy each gained more than 12%, while Sunnova rallied 8%.
