US stocks closed mixed today as traders took a pause from the rebound rally and turned their attention to inflation data due out on Friday.

 

Dow Jones finished flat at 35,754

S&P 500 finished -34 at 4,667

NASDAQ finished -270 at 15,517

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 2 basis points yielding 1.49%

Oil prices closed down $1.75 ending at $70.61 a barrel.

Gold prices closed down $9.00 ending at $1,776 an ounce.

  • CVS closed up 4.5% to hit a 52-week high after the company said sales will accelerate in the year ahead. CVS will launch new health-care services and combine its drugstores and insurance businesses.
  • GameStop closed down 10% after the company reported losses that widened in the fiscal third quarter. The company reported that its net loss grew to $105.4 million, or $1.39 per share, from a loss of $18.8 million, or 29 cents per share, a year earlier. The stock, once at the center of the meme stock mania, is still up more than 760% this year.
