Stocks finished the day mixed, with the S&P and NASDAQ moving higher, while the DOW dropped lower. In economic news, there were 2.11 million continuing jobless claims during October, down 6% from the previous month.

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 6 basis point yielding 1.52%

Oil prices closed down $1.77 ending at $79.09 a barrel

Gold prices closed up $30 ending at $1,794 an ounce

 

Corporate news:

 

• Shares of Moderna dropped 18% after missing both earnings and revenue estimates, along with cutting its full-year earnings outlook.

 

• Roku shares declined 8% despite beating earnings estimates for its latest quarter. This drop is due to Roku missing revenue forecasts and issuing a lower-than-expected revenue forecast for the holiday quarter.

 

• Plant Fitness shares finished up 12% after beating both top and bottom lines and raising its full-year revenue forecast.
