Stocks were mixed today as investors struggled with seasonal Covid worries and ongoing inflation concerns even as companies continued reporting blowout earnings.

Dow Jones finished -60 at 35,870

S&P 500 finished +16 at 4,704

NASDAQ finished +72 at 15,993

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 2 basis points yielding 1.58%

Oil prices closed up $0.60 ending at $78.96 a barrel.

Gold prices closed down $8.50 ending at $1,861 an ounce.

Nvidia closed up more than 8% after the company beat earnings and sales expectations for the third quarter. Nvidia reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.17 and revenue of $7.1 billion.
Alibaba closed down almost 11% after missing revenue and earnings expectations for the September quarter, as slowing economic growth in China weighed on results, adding to regulatory headwinds.
