Stocks closed up today as investors considered a key inflation report ahead of the Federal Reserve’s final policy-setting meeting of the year next week.

Dow Jones finished +216 at 35,970

S&P 500 finished +45 at 4,712

NASDAQ finished +113 at 15,630

The 10 Year Treasury closed even yielding 1.49%

Oil prices closed up $1.06 ending at $72.00 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $6.80 ending at $1,783 an ounce.

Costco closed up more than 6% after they posted its latest quarterly numbers a day earlier. The company earned $2.98 per share for its latest quarter on revenue of $50.36 billion.
Peloton shares closed down 5.4% after a plot point in the first episode of HBO Max’s “Sex and the City” reboot involving Peloton’s Bike raised questions about the company’s image issues.
