U.S. stocks fell today ahead of the final trading day of 2021.

Dow Jones finished -91 at 36,398

S&P 500 finished -14 at 4,778

NASDAQ finished -25 at 15,741

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 3 basis point yielding 1.51%

Oil prices closed down $0.08 ending at $76.48 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $12.00 ending at $1,817 an ounce.

In the days’ stock news:

ViacomCBS closed up 3.8% after a Financial Times report Wednesday said that U.S. video streamers are set to spend $115 billion on content in 2022. Discovery shares gained 2.4%, while Netflix, Fox and Disney were slightly higher as well.
Biogen closed down more than 7% after Samsung denied a report in South Korean media that it was in talks to buy Biogen. The biotechnology stock had surged 9.5% on Wednesday on the report.
