Stocks rose for a third day today, as Wall Street tried to recover its footing after a wild January.

Dow Jones finished +273 at 35,405

S&P 500 finished +31 at 4,546

NASDAQ finished +106 at 14,346

The 10 Year Treasury closed up 1 basis point yielding 1.79%

Oil prices closed up $0.18 ending at $88.33 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $5.50 ending at $1,802 an ounce.

UPS closed up 14% following the company’s fourth-quarter results and upbeat guidance. They earned an adjusted $3.59 per share and revenue also topped expectations, and UPS announced a 49% dividend increase.
AMC Entertainment closed up 5% after the company announced fourth-quarter preliminary results that topped expectations. AMC said it was able to cap off 2021 with “the strongest quarter in two years,” which was led by movies like “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
