The Dow closed down today but the Nasdaq rallied late for a slight gain as investors monitored developments in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Dow Jones finished -166 at 33,892

S&P 500 finished -11 at 4,373

NASDAQ finished +57 at 13,751

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 15 basis points yielding 1.83%

Oil prices closed up $4.24 ending at $95.83 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $23.20 ending at $1,910 an ounce.

Renewable Energy Group closed up 40% after Chevron said it would buy the biodiesel maker in an all-cash deal valued at $3.15 billion.
First Horizon closed up 29% following news that the company will be acquired by TD in an all-cash deal worth $13.4 billion, or $25 per share, a move that will allow the Canadian banking giant to expand its footprint in the southeastern part of the U.S.
