U.S. stocks closed up today as investors continued to weigh hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell alongside the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Dow Jones finished +254 at 34,807

S&P 500 finished +50 at 4,511

NASDAQ finished +270 at 14,108

The 10 Year Treasury closed up 6 basis points yielding 2.38%

Oil prices closed down $0.82 ending at $111.30 a barrel.

Gold prices closed down $8.00 ending at $1,921 an ounce.

Nike closed up 2.2% after the company reported a beat on the top and bottom lines in the third quarter. The retailer reported earnings of 87 cents per share on revenues of $10.87 billion, topping analysts’ estimates of 71 cents per share on revenues of $10.59 billion. Nike delayed giving its outlook for the year.
Datadog closed up 6% after investment firm BTIG initiated coverage of the stock with a buy rating. BTIG said in a note to clients that Datadog is set up for near- and long-term success.
