U.S. stocks fluctuated between gains and losses today after the major equity indexes slid a day earlier, as concerns over inflation and global economic growth stirred up further uncertainty with investors.

Dow Jones finished +62 at 33,301

S&P 500 finished +9 at 4,183

NASDAQ finished -2 at 12,488

The 10 Year Treasury closed up 6 basis points yielding 2.84%

Oil prices closed up $0.36 ending at $102.06 a barrel.

Gold prices closed down $18.00 ending at $1,886 an ounce.

Mastercard closed up 5% on the back of competitor Visa’s strong earnings report. The payments company is expected to disclose its own quarterly earnings on Thursday.
Microsoft closed up 4.8% after the company reported an earnings beat in its most recent quarter. The company’s revenue guidance for each of Microsoft’s three business segments also exceeded the expectations of analysts surveyed by FactSet’s StreetAccount.
