Stocks closed lower as traders took a pause after Monday’s record-setting rally.

 

Dow Jones finished -97 at 33,430

S&P 500 finished -4 at 4,073

NASDAQ finished -7 at 13,698

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 7 basis points yielding 1.65%

Oil prices closed up $0.77 ending at $59.42 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $14.40 ending at $1,743 an ounce.

 

In the days’ stock news:

 

  • Southwest Airlines closed up 1.6% after the company recalled 209 pilots from a voluntary extended leave program to support its summer schedule.
  • Snap closed up more than 5% after Atlantic Equities upgraded the stock to overweight from neutral. The Wall Street firm said that Snap has transformed into a broad content platform and that it sees an “attractive” entry point right now.
