After yesterday’s steep selloff, markets wavered today and tried to find footing with a mixed bag of economic reports, including a smaller than expected drop in jobless claims and a mixed report on May same-store sales from retailers.  Investors are also awaiting the government’s monthly jobs figures that are due out tomorrow for a better look into the health of the recovery. Stocks tumbled today following several economic reports that pointed to a weakening recovery and after Moody’s downgraded Greece’s bond ratings deeper into junk status.  In economic news, the manufacturing sector is in worse shape than expected and the ADP report showed the private sector only added 38,000 jobs, far less than predicted.
