The S&P 500 and The Dow closed slightly positive after opening lower, as traders paused after Tuesday’s rally. Energy shares led gains as crude oil rebounded from a day earlier.

 

Dow Jones finished +60 at 29,883

S&P 500 finished +7 at 3,669

NASDAQ finished -6 at 12,349

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed up 1 basis point yielding 0.94%

Oil prices closed up $0.58 ending at $45.13 a barrel

Gold prices closed up $13.60 ending at $1,832 an ounce

  • Workhorse the electric delivery truck company slid more than 19% after Trucks.com reported that the U.S. Postal Service has delayed its mail truck replacement contract.
  • Salesforce fell almost 9% after the cloud company announced it will buy Slack for more than $27 billion. That marks the biggest-ever acquisition for Salesforce. The deal values Slack at more than 24 times estimated revenue for 2021.
