U.S. stocks closed higher today as investors continued to bet the impact of the omicron variant would not be as threatening as many previously thought.

 

Dow Jones finished +35 at 35,754

S&P 500 finished +14 at 4,701

NASDAQ finished +100 at 15,786

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed up 5 basis points yielding 1.53%

Oil prices closed up $0.55 ending at $72.60 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $2.00 ending at $1,786 an ounce.

 

In the days’ stock news:

 

  • Dave & Buster’s closed up more than 8% after reporting better-than-expected third-quarter results. Dave & Buster’s reported earnings of 21 cents per share.
  • Roku closed up more than 18% after announcing it has reached a multiyear agreement with Google to keep YouTube and YouTube TV on its service. The deal will allow the 56.4 million active Roku accounts to continue to watch YouTube and YouTube TV, Google’s live streaming service, without disruption.
