U.S. stocks closed positive today as the key May jobs report showed solid gains, boosting confidence in the economic comeback.

 

Dow Jones finished +179 at 34,756

S&P 500 finished +37 at 4,229

NASDAQ finished +200 at 13,814

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 7 basis points yielding 1.56%

Oil prices closed up $0.60 ending at $69.41 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $20.80 ending at $1,894 an ounce.

 

In the days’ stock news:

 

  • DocuSign closed up more than 19% after beating on the top and bottom lines of its quarterly earnings. DocuSign earned 44 cents per share on revenue of $469 million.
  • Lululemon closed up 3.8% after they reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results. The company posted quarterly adjusted earnings of $1.16 per share on revenue of $1.23 billion.
