The Dow Jones closed down more than 200 points as banks sold off breaking a two week winning streak.

 

Dow Jones finished -234 at 32,627

S&P 500 finished -2 at 3,913

NASDAQ finished +99 at 13,215

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed even yielding 1.72%

Oil prices closed up $1.46 ending at $61.46 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $9.30 ending at $1,742 an ounce.

 

In the days’ stock news:

 

  • Nike closed down more than 4% after the company reported mixed results for the third quarter. Nike earned 90 cents per share, which was ahead of the 76-cent profit Street analysts were expecting
  • FedEx closed up more than 5% after FedEx beat expectations in its fiscal third quarter. The company generated $3.47 in adjusted earnings per share on $21.51 billion in revenue.
