Stocks closed up today, extending Wall Street’s winning streak as traders monitored ceasefire negotiations in Europe and key levels in the bond market.

 

Dow Jones finished +338 at 35,294

S&P 500 finished +56 at 4,631

NASDAQ finished +265 at 14,619

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 9 basis points yielding 2.39%

Oil prices closed down $0.96 ending at $105 a barrel.

Gold prices closed down $20.00 ending at $1,925 an ounce.

  • Uber closed up 7% as the ride-hailing company is close to a deal to include San Francisco taxis to its app, The New York Times reported. The report comes after Uber last week announced an agreement to offer New York City taxi rides on its platform.
  • Dave & Buster’s closed up 15% despite missing on the top and bottom lines of its quarterly results. Dave & Buster’s said that business “strengthened” in the first eight weeks of the first quarter with same-store sales up 5.4% over the same period in 2019.
