U.S. stocks fell today as major technology shares came under pressure again after the 10-year Treasury yield touched its highest level intraday since January 2020.

 

Dow Jones finished -104 at 33,066

S&P 500 finished -12 at 3,958

NASDAQ finished -14 at 13,045

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed even yielding 1.71%

Oil prices closed down $1.21 ending at $60.35 a barrel.

Gold prices closed down $31.10 ending at $1,683 an ounce.

 

In the days’ stock news:

 

  • Yelp closed up more than 3% after Citi upgraded the stock to buy from neutral. The bank said Yelp is a key beneficiary as the economy reopens and consumers return to dining out.
  • DraftKings closed up more than 4% after announcing the acquisition of sports betting and content company VSiN for an undisclosed amount.
