Stocks closed higher today with investors digesting the latest stronger-than-expected print on the labor market’s recovery, while still eyeing spiking prices that could throttle the recovery.


Dow Jones finished +434 at 34,021

S&P 500 finished +49 at 4,112

NASDAQ finished +93 at 13,124


The 10 Year Treasury closed down 4 basis points yielding 1.66%

Oil prices closed down $2.34 ending at $63.74 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $4.00 ending at $1,826 an ounce.

  • Bumble closed down more than 14% despite higher-than-expected sales numbers for the first quarter. Bumble reported first-quarter revenues of $170.7 million.
  • Boeing closed up 0.77% after U.S. airlines started fixing scores of 737 Max planes grounded last month due to an electrical issue. The Federal Aviation Administration approved the repairs that had grounded more than 100 planes in April.
