U.S. stocks jumped today, rebounding for a second day led by technology shares and reopening trades after Wall Street started the week with big losses.

 

Dow Jones finished +361 at 34,382

S&P 500 finished +61 at 4,173

NASDAQ finished +305 at 13,429

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 3 basis points yielding 1.63%

Oil prices closed up $1.55 ending at $65.37 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $19.20 ending at $1,843 an ounce.

 

In the days’ stock news:

 

  • Disney closed down more than 2% after it missed revenue and streaming subscriber estimates. The company made $15.61 billion in revenue, missing an estimate of $15.87 billion.
  • Airbnb closed up more than 4% after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly revenue. The company reported first-quarter revenue of $887 million. While Airbnb still reported a net loss for the quarter, it also showed year-over-year improvement in a key earnings metric.
