The Dow closed up nearly 100 points today to make another record due to better-than-expected earnings.

 

Dow Jones finished +97 at 34,230

S&P 500 finished +3 at 4,167

NASDAQ finished -51 at 13,582

 

The 10 Year Treasury closed down 2 basis points yielding 1.57%

Oil prices closed down $0.40 ending at $65.29 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $10.00 ending at $1,786 an ounce.

  • Peloton dropped more than 14% after the company announced a recall for its treadmill products. Reports of dozens of injuries and one death have been attached to the products.
  • Match Group reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue for the first quarter, helping to boost shares by more than 3%. Match also provided strong second quarter guidance.
