U.S. stocks rose on Friday as better-than-expected third-quarter earnings reports boosted the three major indexes to a winning week.

Dow Jones finished +383 at 35,294

S&P 500 finished +33 at 4,471

NASDAQ finished +74 at 14,897

The 10 Year Treasury closed up 5 basis points yielding 1.57%

Oil prices closed up $0.94 ending at $82.25 a barrel.

Gold prices closed down $28.80 ending at $1,769 an ounce.

23andMe closed up 16.9% after EMJ Capital’s Eric Jackson said it’s one of his stock picks and should be seen as a therapeutics company as well as a subscription service, which could bode well for future growth.
Goldman Sachs closed up more than 3% after the bank’s third-quarter earnings crushed expectations. Goldman reported earnings of $14.93 per share on revenue of $13.61 billion.
