Stocks extended gains today as investors eyed a batch of stronger-than-expected earnings results and a new record for bitcoin.

Dow Jones finished +152 at 35,609

S&P 500 finished +17 at 4,536

NASDAQ finished -7 at 15,121

The 10 Year Treasury closed up 2 basis points yielding 1.65%

Oil prices closed up $1.29 ending at $84.25 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $15.50 ending at $1,786 an ounce.

Pinterest closed up more than 12% following a Bloomberg News report that said PayPal may acquire Pinterest. PayPal shares fell 4.9%.
ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF closed up 3.2% in its second day of trading as the price of bitcoin rallied to an all-time high. The fund tracks contracts speculating on the future price of bitcoin.
