Stocks closed down again today as investors remain cautious as they try to determine what’s next to happen with the delta variant, the economic reopening and the Federal Reserve.


Dow Jones finished -151 at 34,879

S&P 500 finished -21 at 4,493

NASDAQ finished -38 at 15,248


The 10 Year Treasury closed down 4 basis points yielding 1.30%

Oil prices closed down $1.32 ending at $67.98 a barrel.

Gold prices closed up $3.80 ending at $1,797 an ounce.

  • Moderna closed up more than 7% after announcing it’s developing a two-in-one vaccine booster shot that protects against both Covid-19 and the seasonal flu.
  • Lululemon closed up more than 10% and hit an all-time high after reporting strong second-quarter earnings and said it’s on track to hit a 2023 revenue target ahead of schedule. The company has outperformed other retailers during the pandemic and is poised to continue to even as people return to offices.
