The Inevitable, The Unexpected
We all know it, but very few of us spend any serious amount of time thinking about it. It is guaranteed to happen; we just do not know WHEN. And even though we know it is coming, none of us are really prepared for it, or know how to handle it. It is part of the life experience, and perhaps if we knew that fateful day, we would be living today, perhaps differently!
Mark Twain said that the two most important days of one’s life are the day that you are bornand the day you figure out WHY. Many of us take a lifetime to figure out the WHY part of the equation—spinning our wheels in different occupations, handling the pedestrian issues of life, raising a family, running a business, keeping super busy—but sometimes making little or no progress.
I hope that you, like me, believe that we should leave this world with our affairs in order. It is our responsibility, and it sends the right message, at the appointed time, to those we care about most dearly.
Though we do not want to dwell on the inevitable, make it a priority to get your house in order, so that those living will have the right example to follow.
