U.S. stocks closed higher today with help by banks and reopening stocks as the 10-year Treasury yield climbed higher.

Dow Jones finished +39 at 35,405

S&P 500 finished +10 at 4,496

NASDAQ finished +22 at 15,041

The 10 Year Treasury closed up 5 basis points yielding 1.34%

Oil prices closed up $0.78 ending at $68.32 a barrel.

Gold prices closed down $15.70 ending at $1,792 an ounce.

Nordstrom shares dropped more than 17% despite Nordstrom beating expectations on the top and bottom lines for the second quarter. The company issued its quarterly results late Tuesday.
Urban Outfitters closed down more than 9% despite a better-than-expected quarterly earnings report. The apparel retailer posted earnings of $1.28 per share for its latest quarter, beating the 77 cents per share Refinitiv consensus estimate.
