It’s been said that “casualness leads to casualties.” We don’t bother to check the fluids in our car prior to the beginning of a hot Tucson summer. We’re casual about what we eat, or don’t eat. We know we should brush and floss daily…. but we let it ride for a day or two (Ugh!!) We know we would leave our family in a horrible position, if we fail to get the proper legal documents completed or have adequate insurances in place should the unexpected occur.
As I recently told a client, all the above are easy to do, and they’re easy not to do!
Neglecting our responsibilities to family, our closest friends, our church, our community…can be incredibly insidious. That’s why we see “Go Fund Me “accounts, and car washes. People chose not to plan, and now our family, our friends, our church, the community, must respond. And it ALWAYS comes at the most inopportune times, doesn’t it??
I’m passionate about bringing our clients to a point of decision. No longer are financial topics addressed CASUALLY, nor are they completely neglected. We have seen the aftermath of putting off until tomorrow, what can be completed today. The repercussions are ugly, painful, and insidious. But they are totally AVOIDABLE. These are life-changing decisions, and it is our responsibility, and duty, to keep them front-and-center, in all our conversations. We want your family to say that “their house was in order.” That’s such a great feeling, isn’t it??
