“Who, Not How…”
Successful individuals understand the power of partnering and collaborating with those who can help them advance their cause and have the skillset that maybe they don’t possess. They realize, early on that TIME really is money, and that we are all given 24 hours in a day. Some spend those hours wisely, others don’t. Many try to do EVERYTHING themselves (that proverbial one-man band!) and don’t see the success they desire.
When it comes to life in general, and then specifically to building, protecting, and passing on wealth, the “Who, Not How “principle
becomes critical. Some might even say essential, if not mandatory. You may very well know how to build wealth but partnering with the right individual(s) may get you farther along, even after they are compensated.
As an example, you could decide to design and build your own home. You could get the plans approved and become your own general contractor. Might you save a few dollars, and end up with your dream home? Absolutely. But the results could be just the opposite…. the subcontractors do a shoddy job, or don’t show up for a week or two. The cost of materials skyrocket, or supply chain issues arise. You miss something in the building code, and it needs to be re-done. What started out, on paper, as a real joy, has become a nightmare. In retrospect, you should have turned to the pros from the very start.
The same is true when it comes to financial and retirement planning. You can manage your own portfolio, do your own trades, call your own shots. If you enjoy that, great! If you’re always on an emotional roller coaster, then maybe it’s time to find somebody (your “who”) who can take over the reins, AND FREE YOU from the grind that it has become.
The “Who, Not How” principle, if implemented, is quite liberating… financially and emotionally. Reaching out to professionals is a sign of strength, not one of weakness. Start today, and you will see IMMEDIATE results.
